 DIY Cozy Winter Room Decor with Fairy Lights and Fashion Magazine Art*

Winters are all about comfort, warmth, and creating a space that feels like a personal retreat. With just a little creativity and some everyday materials, you can completely transform your room into a cozy, magical corner. That’s exactly what I did. I combined my love for fashion magazines and fairy lights to create a unique winter-inspired room décor. So lets go 

Step 1: Creating the Tree from Fashion Magazines:

Instead of letting old magazines collect dust, I turned them into an art project. I carefully cut out fashion pages and arranged them in the shape of a tree on my wall. This not only gave the space a personalized touch but also brought in pops of color and texture. Using tape and scissors, I built the trunk and branches by pasting the magazine cutouts directly on the wall.

Step 2: Outlining with Fairy Lights

Fairy lights are my absolute favorite décor item. They instantly bring warmth and charm to any space. To enhance the look of my paper tree, I outlined the branches with glowing fairy lights. This made the wall art come alive especially at night when the soft light creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Step 3: Adding Details and Cozy Elements:

To complete the look, I added paper-cut birds around the tree, making it appear as though they were flying in from the branches. On the opposite wall, I created a photo board framed with fairy lights, where I displayed my favorite memories with friends and family. The floor seating with patterned cushions and a soft mattress added to the overall winter coziness.

When I finally finished, the result was exactly how I always imagined. My room turned into a magical, cozy corner that feels warm and full of life. I can’t stop looking at my fairy light tree  day and night, I just sit and admire the glow, the photos, and the little details that make it so special. It’s not just decoration, it’s a piece of me on the wall.
